On Sunday, 25th 0ctober2015, AVEGA-AGAHOZO officially gave houses to 1994 genocide elder widows.

On Sunday, 25th 0ctober2015, RULINDO District, Cyinzuzi sector, in partnership with UNITY CLUB-INTWARARUMULI, AVEGA-AGAHOZO officially gave houses to 1994 genocide elder widows. This event was officially opened by State Minister in Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC), DR. MUKABARAMBA A.

Speaking in this event, Mayor of Rulindo District KANGWAGYE Justus appreciated the work done by AVEGA-Agahozo and UNITY CLUB. He also expressed his special appreciation to the founder of UNITY CLUB; First Lady Jeanette KAGAME for her contribution to the execution of this project.

In the name of elder widows MUKAMINEGA Speciose Thank AVEGA-Agahozo and especial the president of the republic of Rwanda His Excellence Paul KAGAME to his support to the welfare of genocide survivors and they are happy for the home given which give them hope of life.

AVEGA-Agahozo President thanked the government for its considerable support to the genocide survivors in providing shelters; medical care. And more over the special financial support of 30.000Frw given to the elder widows each month helps to satisfy some of their basic needs.

The state Minister MINALOC, Dr. Mukabaramba Alivera in the official opening of this event said that after giving inaugurating these houses the next same event is to going to be in HUYE District- MUKURA Sector on 08/11/2015 And Kayonza District-Nyamirama Sector on 15/11/2015.

The Theme of this event was “Babyeyi tubarere nkuko mwatureze”

Unity Club with other sponsors of this project built houses worth 38M Frw excluding furniture.
